You can’t make this stuff up

You can’t make this stuff up

I had to share a few quotables from the boys:

1.  When Aiden woke up from his nap, I asked him what he wanted for a snack, knowing he would probably choose his newly discovered favorite, the Clif Bar:

“Aiden, what do you want for a snack?”

“Clif-Fart, Clif-Fart”

2.  Lately, when we ask Aiden anything his answer is, “Yes…..I am.”

“Aiden, do you want to go on the swing?”

“Yes…….I am.”

“Aiden, do you like oranges?”

“Yes……I am.”

and so on.

3.  And tonight, after dinner and a shower Aaron announced to Mark,

“Daddy, could you come fix the computer now?  Because NOW would be a GREAT time for me to play  it.”

I hope you heard or saw at least one thing today that made YOU laugh! 🙂

Aaron and Jackson’s thoughts on Tyler turning 8

Aaron and Jackson’s thoughts on Tyler turning 8

Both Aaron and Jackson have had some thoughts about Tyler turning 8 years old this month.

The night before Tyler’s birthday Aaron told Mark,

“Just because Tyler will be eight doesn’t mean he’s good at wrestling.”

And today, in the car on the way home from preschool Jackson informed me,

“Tyler doesn’t look like he’s eight.  He still looks like he’s seven.”

I wonder if Tyler has any idea how scrutinized he his by younger brothers – already!

United States Airport Academy

United States Airport Academy

This morning, on our way to preschool, Jackson asked me,

“Mommy, do you know where Mike-Grandpa got his real sword and his real suit?”

I said, “Yes, I do. Do you know where he got them?”

Jackson replied, “The airport.”

My dad, “Mike-Grandpa” graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1974 and proudly served in the the United States Air Force for 6 years.

I think his sword that Jackson is referring to is a part of his ceremonial uniform……and he most definitely did not receive it at the airport! And, I think it is actually a saber…..not a sword……best not to give a 4 year old TOO much information. Otherwise, next he might be talking about Mike-Grandpa’s SABER-toothed tiger!

“Kay-Bob”

“Kay-Bob”

This weekend the “COUSINZ” came for a visit!  Tyler, Aaron, Jackson and Aiden were so excited to see their cousins, Caleb, Nate and Ben.  Aiden knew all their names, and could say them, as articulate as he is, but we especially loved his name for Caleb, “Kay-Bob”.  When David, Christy, “Kay-Bob”, Nate and Ben left this morning, the boys were so sad and even Lacy spent half the day searching for the rest of her pack…..
