On Friday we had a great time attending the Erie Arts Festival on the Bayfront.
During Terri-Grandma’s visit to Erie, she taught Tyler and Aaron many new card games including “war”, “fan tan”, “spider” and “solitaire”. Interestingly enough, Aaron also came across our poker chips where the playing cards are stored and has been begging us to teach him how to play the game with the “chips”. We tell him we’ll teach him poker once he gets an allowance. What’s your favorite card game?
Today was a perfect day at Lake Erie. We played, made sand castles, jumped in holes and even went swimming a bit. It doesn’t matter how old we get, most of us will never outgrow a nice day at the beach combined with the endless fun of a bucket, a shovel, the sand and the water!
This morning is another cloudy summer day in Erie, PA. Jackson is sleeping and Terri-Grandma has spent the morning cleaning Tyler and Aaron’s desk, which frequently threatens to overtake the entire dining room. As Tyler and Grandma move on to cleaning up the sunroom/funroom/toyroom, Aaron stands eagerly by my desk asking me every 60 seconds if it is time to go to the movies to see what he calls, “Kung Fu the Panda”. Butterscotch, our temporary pet guinea pig, is squeaking and whimpering in the background, begging for the next passerby to feed him a fresh baby carrot.
